THE 2008 MITA CONVENTION
IN

Las Vegas

The 2008 convention is planned for July 14 to 18, 2008 and Friday will have classes to 5:00.
The class schedule and info for 2007 is below for reference. Details for 2008 will be available sometime in the Spring.

We have some added features for the 2008 MITA Convention to be held in Las
Vegas 14 July - 18 July! As noted before, The Orleans has much to offer:
beautiful guest rooms, well-lit and individually climate-controlled meeting
rooms, and great food. This year we have some of our advertisers displaying
their products - at least two have signed on so far. There's also a lot to
do in your free time: several restaurants, a movie theatre, bowling alley,
and a free shuttle to the Strip..

The economy is still rebounding in Las Vegas! This has resulted in increases
meal expenses for the 2008 MITA Convention, so there is a slight increase in
registration and Banquet this year as we try to be creative in our attempts
to continue to bring you a convention that is a good value.

We believe that the MITA Convention offers a great value for its attendees that is unparalleled in any other industry.

We look forward to seeing you all in Las Vegas!

Guest's lunches: $17 / day

The banquet, Wednesday Evening, (all you can eat) Buffet and Prize Drawing in the Convention Dining Room will cost $36.50 / person. (this is in addition to the registration fee).

2008 will be a great convention that will be well worth the investment. Don't miss out! Send in your registration early!

MANUFACTURERS and other instructors to PRESENT (2007)
(It will be updated fro 2008 when information is available)

Lowrey, Kurzweil, Kawai, Roland, Rodgers, and Yamaha are expected to offer presentations.

In addition to the manufacturers, MITA instructors may make presentations dealing with Tone Wheel Hammond, Baldwin T-Pulse, etc.

Roger Jessup will be in attendance representing Kurzweil,

More information will be posted as it becomes available.

For the classes, it is a good idea to bring pencil (or pen) and paper. A portable computer may be useful, too, if you have one, since some of the presenters hand out material on CDs. It is not essential, though. Perhaps a calculator would be useful if you take the certification test (may need to calculate current, voltage, etc., in solving some of the problems.)

The weather in Las Vegas in July will be hot. But, the air conditioning in the class rooms may be a bit cool. So, a Sweater or light jacket is a good idea.
