Paul and his wife Sue live in Tawa, a suburb of Wellington, the capital
city of New Zealand. Trading as Paul Newland Electronics, he started his business in 1985 after deciding to combine his qualifications and experience in professional electronics with his interest in music. He has played piano and bass guitar in bands since his teenage years. Paul services all makes and models of electronic pianos, organs and keyboards in his Tawa workshop, and makes regular trips in his fully equipped service vehicle to Wairarapa, Hawkes Bay, Kapiti, Horowhenua, Manawatu and Central North Island as far as Napier, Wanganui and Taupo. (Further by negotiation) He is a Registered Electrical Service Technician and holds NZ Certificate in Engineering (Telecommunications), NZ Certificate in Science (Physics/Applied Electronics) and Advanced Trade Certificate (Industrial Electronics). Certified Membership of Musical Instrument Technicians Association International provides peer support and industry back-up to keep abreast of advances in this specialised field. Paul makes regular trips to the USA to attend MITA conventions. |
